Key Dates for Horticultural Exhibitors
The Key Dates set out below will be repeated in the Exhibitor Information Booklet, along with any further dates which were unable to set as at the date of this publication.
Please Note that dates and times may be subject to alteration by Ellerslie International Flower Show. These dates are applicable to the 2011/2012 calendar
Please note that there is some flexibility regarding deadlines, please discuss with Exhibition Manager.
*Whilst who should attend which Exhibitor Evening has been highlighted below, please be aware that any exhibitor is welcome to attend any of the evenings.
Wednesday 6 July
7pm Prospective Exhibitor Evening – All invited that would like to learn more about exhibiting at EIFS 2012.
Wednesday 10 August
7pm Design Exhibitor Evening – All Exhibitors and Prospective Exhibitors invited, whichever category they wish to compete in.
Friday 12 August
Final Applications from all Horticultural Exhibits now due.
Final Applications from Retail Gardens including 50% fees are due.
Friday 7 October
Due date for design plans and initial design brief.
Wednesday 19 October
7pm Exhibitor Evening – All Horticultural Exhibitors excl Floral Art Exhibitors *
Wednesday 16 November
7pm Floral Art Exhibitor Meeting – Floral Art Exhibitors only

Exhibitor Passes and build-up Information distributed to those that did not attend final Exhibitor Evening
Monday 13 February
Exhibition Garden sites available to commence build-up.
Retail Garden sites available to commence build-up.
Emerging Design Garden sites available to commence build-up.
Starlight Marquee available to commence build-up.
Saturday 18 February
The ‘Hort Galore’ Marquee available to commence build-up
Thursday 1 March
Floral Art Marquee 3 X 3 exhibits are available to commence build-up.
Retail sites available to commence build-up.
Friday 2 March
Final opportunity to provide any updates to exhibit briefs for judging purposes. At this late stage five copies will need to be provided
Monday 5 March
7am Individual Floral Art Competition commences
12.00pm All design, horticultural exhibits complete and all exhibitors, including retail depart site and exhibition judging commences
2.00pm All Floral Art exhibitors complete and depart site and exhibition judging commences
Tuesday 6 March
From 12pm Site opens for all exhibitors and media. No vehicle access.
12.30pm Award distribution commences.
2pm Retail Judging commences.
2.30pm Judges de-brief.
4pm Premier Opening commences.
6pm Opening Ceremony.
Presentation of Supreme awards.
7.30pm Site closes.

Event opens to visitors 10am – 7pm
Thursday 8 March

Hort Galore and Floral Exhibitors to have completed breakdown

All garden exhibitors to have completed breakdown.
Last opportunity to apply for exhibitor grant.
Payments made on the 20th of the following month.
Maintenance of Exhibits
Access for exhibitors from 7am – until 9am for maintenance and restocking except Tuesday 6 March.
Alternatively this can be done once the site has cleared of visitors at the end of the day.
All vehicles to be off site by 9.00am each day from Wednesday 7 March.
